Secondo lavoro per i norvegesi Drottnar. Dopo la compilation che porta il titolo di “Spiritual Battle”, i nostri escono sul mercato con questo breve MCD, datato 2003 che s’intitola “Anamorphosis”.
Rispetto al lavoro precedente, l’album in questione suona decisamente più black metal, senza però tradire l’ottimo lavoro già proposto dai cinque norvegesi.
La parte sinfonica in “Anamorphosis” prende il sopravvento, come possiamo già sentire dall’intro ‘Morphosis’, quasi tre minuti di cupe e quasi angoscianti melodie, che aprono le porte per ‘The Individual Complex’, brano che va in crescendo, in tipico stile black; quindi partenza lenta per poi sfociare nella furiosa tempesta di batteria e chitarre, sempre ben supportate dall’ottima prestazione del cantante; il pezzo si chiude con ritmi più pacati.
Dei violini danno il via a ‘Sin Climax’, canzone che sta un gradino sopra le altre, gran bel pezzo dove il gruppo dimostra tutte le sue enormi capacità. Ritmi sempre alti per tutta la durata del pezzo, batteria che picchia senza fermarsi e la voce di Sven-Erik Lind che dà il meglio di sé. Questo MCD di 21 minuti si conclude con ‘Concord’, brano il quale si mantiene sugli ottimi livelli del lavoro in questione, dando la conferma che i Drottnar ci sanno fare!
A distanza da tre anni dal più che positivo “Spiritual Battle” i 5 norvegesi, si presentano con questo ottimo MCD.
Lavoro che segna una maturazione della band, a livello artistico e sonoro; già con la precedente uscita abbiamo potuto assaggiare le qualità dei Drottnar che in “Anamorphosis” vengono si confermate, ma anche superate!

This is the second production for the Norwegian Drottnar. After the compilation "Spiritual Battle". This band produced this short MCD made in 2003 titled "Anamorphosis".
Comparing it to the previous production, this album sounds more black metal, without failing in it respecting to the excellent production proposed by this band.
There are a lot of symphonic parts in "Anamorphosis" as we can listen by the intro 'Morphosis', almost 3 minutes of dark and anguished melodies, that open the gates for 'The Individual Complex'.
This is a song that continues to increase, in typical black metal connotation . There is a slow departure that flows into furious storms of drums and guitars, always well supported by the excellent performance of the singer, and then ending with more quiet rhythms.
Some violins start with 'Sin Climax' , song that is on a step more over then the other songs, a very beautiful song where the band demonstrates big qualities. Higher rhythms for all the length of the piece, a drum that beats without stopping and the voice of Sven-Erik Lind that gives the best of himself. This MCD of 21 minutes ends with 'Concord', song that maintains itself on excellent levels of this production, giving the confirmation that Drottnar are cool !
At the distance of 3 years from the more than positive "Spiritual Battle" this band shows itself with this excellent MCD.
This production signs a maturation of the band, at the artistic and sound level; just with the previous production we could taste the qualities of Drottnar that with "Anamorphosis" are confirmed, but also overpassed !
