Il secondo lavoro dei Rosanna’s Raiders (terzo se consideriamo anche la prima Demotape “We Are Raiders”, che di fatto è un album completo) non cambia quasi di una virgola i connotati stilistici delle precedenti release.
Troviamo ancora nelle song del trio guidato dalla singer e chitarrista Rosanna Palmer lo stesso gusto rivolto alla ricerca di facili melodie unite ad un rock che raramente morde o risulta aggressivo, preferendo atmosfere soffuse e decisamente iper melodiche.
Il disco inizia con un bell’hard rock che si intitola ‘He Is The King’ e rappresenta forse il brano più energico del lotto, ben supportato dalla chitarra di Rosanna. Come sempre per la band la batteria risulta un po’ il punto debole ed anche qui Johno Zaffarese non pesta più di tanto, permettendo alle tastiere di Georgwe Small di inserirsi con maggiore forza.
Di fatto sottolineiamo come questo “Clothed In Fire” aggiunga, rispetto al passato, maggiore incisività nelle chitarre, forse complice l’aggiunta di parti suonate da Gary Roz; citiamo ad esempio una riuscitissima ‘Crying In The Night’, un cadenzatone hard rock che da un lato esalta le doti della voce di Rosanna, dall’altro prosenta un’ottima parte solista di chitarra.
Subito dopo questo pezzo da novanta dei nostri troviamo la cadenzata ‘Hell OnHeart’, più in linea con un rock radiofonico che comunque si fa ascoltare con piacere; anche qui registriamo ottime parti soliste.
Anche su questo lavoro tutte le song e i testi sono scritti da Rosanna Palmer mentre troviamo per la seconda volta Boris Vallejo come autore dell’artwork, che stavolta vede una rappresentazione sempre molto epica di Dio.
Anche le song sono a livello di testi come sempre molto indirizzate al worship; basti ricordare in questo senso la preghiera di ‘Love The Lord Your God’. La fede dei Rosanna’s Raiders è forte e semplice e vuol passare ai proprio ascoltatori soprattutto un messaggio di speranza che risuoni sempre alto e forte.
In definitiva con l’ultimo lavoro dei nostri si cominciano a vedere miglioramenti dal punto di vista dell’aspetto degli arrangiamenti e dell’esecuzione che purtroppo non potranno ulteriormente svilupparsi in quanto qui si chiude la carriera della band.
Un ringraziamento ancora alla Retroactive Records che con l’edizione in doppio CD di “Fire From Heaven” raccoglie tutti e tre i lavori dei nostri e fa si che non vengano sepolti dall’oblio del tempo. Chi ama band come Petra, Heart e Whiteheart deve per lo meno ascoltare questo gruppo.

The Rosanna's Raiders’ second album (the third one including the first Demotape "We Are Raiders", which can be considered a full album) shows the same musical trademark which can be found in all the other works of this band.
The trio, leaded by the singer and guitarist Rosanna Palmer, keeps unchanged the same search for soft melody joined to a kind of rock which rarely bites or it results to be aggressive, rather showing a smooth and really melodic atmosphere.
The first song of the album is the well played and composed hard rock song 'He Is The King', which can be considered the “hardest” song of the work, well flanked by Rosanna’s guitar.
As usual, the drums is the weaker side of the band; the “light” performance of Johno Zaffarese allows George Small to play with more strength.
Unlike the past works, "Clothed In Fire" inserts a more incisive sound of guitar maybe for the good performance by Gary Roz; for example the lilting song 'Crying In The Night', is one of the best successful songs of this album, showing a great Rosanna’s performance and a really well composed guitar solo.
After this little masterpiece it’s the time of the lilting sounded 'Hell On Heart', more likely a radio-oriented rock, but really nice to listen and with really fine guitar solos.
All musics and lyrics, as all the other works, are written by Rosanna Palmer, while the front cover artwork was signed for the second time by Boris Vallejo, an artist who is able to represent God in a truly epic way.
Concerning the lyrics, the main subject is the worship; the best example is the prayer 'Love The Lord Your God'.
Rosanna's Raiders faith is strong and pure and what they want to communicate to fans is a message of hope which must echoes always high and loud.
Summarizing, this last album shows an improvement concerning musical arrangements and way of playing; unfortunately the band broken-up and this work will be the last one.
A special thank to Retroactive Records which published the doubleCD "Fire From Heaven" which is the complete collection of the three albums, avoiding to lose the name of the band in the sands of time.
Who loves such bands as Petra, Heart and Whiteheart cannot for sure ignore this band.
