ITALIAN VERSION

Due anni dopo l'uscita del primo DemoMCD degli Exaudi, possiamo scoprire la loro nuova produzione intitolata "Ein Stein". Il disco ha una direzione più propriamente dark. La musica ha una connotazione più malinconica rispetto a prima. Qui gli ascoltatori possono scoprire melodie con toni più bassi. Tecnicamente molti dettagli sembrano essere migliorati e i volumi sono più curati.
La prima song è ‘Schrei aus der Düsternis’. Qui possiamo ascoltare l'ottimo growl di Thoralf simile alla prima traccia tratta dal DemoMCD ‘Die Brücke über Den Fluß’ , ma stavolta la sua voce domina totalmente e adempie pienamente alle nostre aspettative. La sua voce suona incredibile e dà spazio all'immaginazione come se fosse un eco che possa nascondere dietro qualcosa.
Nel secondo titolo ’ Ein Stein’ appare la voce femminile, molto debole e delicata. Attraverso un sottofondo di bassi suoni di chitarra e tastiere che creano atmosfera sembra di essere vicino a una bambina piccola che chiede aiuto e che si e' perduta nell'oscurita' in una densa foresta nella notte. All'interno di questa foresta si mostra ancora la voce growl e anche lo scream black di Thomas - il tastierista , che accentua l'orribile situazione della bambina abbandonata. Possiamo ascoltare qui il suono di una campana, che corrisponde bene alle basse corde di chitarra.
La terza traccia, ‘Das Schloss’, inizia con suoni armoniosi di tastiera. Poi si inserisce la voce pulita di Thoralf, ma in stile doom. In seguito la melodia si disperde, le tastiere vanno più velocemente e la voce cambia verso il death growl. Si sentono molto chiaramente i suoni della batteria. Da notare con attenzionesono i suoni delle tastiere, che creano una composizione profonda e interessante. Inoltre possiamo trovare alcuni riff di chitarra davvero riusciti.
In coppia con la musica grim si accompagnano i testi che si sposano alla perfezione. I testi sono chiaramente di tipo dark, descrivono una terribile dimensione senza luce : "Auf dem Weg durch die Nacht / Ich fühlte mich allein / Kalter Nebel umgibt mich / Steine, sie schrein / Düsternis umschlang mein Herz (...).“
In un altro titolo possiamo essere toccati da una visione di dannazione, che ci spaventa veramente: "Ich nenn meinen Namen, er ist nicht dabei/ Im Buch des Lebens steht er nicht drin (...) / Das Tor wird geschlossen, ich bin allein / Die Wölfe sind nah, ich fang an zu schrein / Keinen Ausweg mehr sehend, nur die Mauer vorm Schloss / Mit blutigen Händen klettre ich drüber weg / (...)Ich höre Schritte, der Engel kommt zu mir / (...) Du darfst hier nicht rein /Du hast dein Leben verspielt /Tod und Finsternis sind dein Lohn (...)“.
Da tutti questi oscuri paesaggi ci si rivolge urlando a Dio per chiedergli aiuto: “ Strahlt denn das Düstre schon aus mir heraus / Ist es so mächtig, dass jedem graust / Auch ich habe Angst / Oh Gott, hilf mir /Oh Gott, ich schreie zu Dir“.
Come possiamo vedere gli Exaudi hanno cambiato un pò l'orizzonte del loro stile musicale. Thoralf ha lasciato perdere di più la voce pulita per dare più importanza al growl, che si presenta veramente meglio rispetto al canto pulito del DemoMCD. Gli artisti hanno compiuto esperimenti con la voce femminile e non hanno reso il suono noioso. Molto buono è anche lo sviluppo della potenza delle tastiere. Il percorso di musica che hanno scelto si è arricchito di più. "Ein Stein" è consigliato per tutti coloro a cui piacciono i My Silent Wake, i Paramaecium e il gruppo moldavo dei GOD.

ENGLISH VERSION

Two years after the first record of Exaudi, we discover new release of them under the title: “Ein Stein”. The record has properly darker direction. Music is just more grim and heavier than before. Here listeners meet many growl parts with low melody. Technically many details seems to done better and the tunes are through it more affable.
At beginning to our ears comes full of force ‘Schrei aus der Düsternis’. Here is great exhibition of Thoralf’s growl, similar to the first track from DemoMCD ‘Die Brücke über Den Fluß’ , but this time it dominates totally and fulfills our awaiting. His voice sounds incredibly and gives imagination of little echo which hides somewhere behind.
In the second title ’ Ein Stein’ appears female vocal, very delicate and weak. By the background of low guitar and atmospheric keyboards it seems to be as a calling of little girl, lost in the dark, dense forest at the night. Inside of this forest shows itself shrill growl again and also black scream of Thomas- the keyboards-player, which accents dreadful situation of the forsaken girl. We can listen here the sound of bell as well, which matches good to the low chords. In pair with grim music step also grim lyrics. Texts are clearly dark and dusky, describe terrible dimension without light: ”Auf dem Weg durch die Nacht / Ich fühlte mich allein / Kalter Nebel umgibt mich / Steine, sie schrein / Düsternis umschlang mein Herz (...).“
In another one title we can hear touched vision of condemnation, which properly frightens: "Ich nenn meinen Namen, er ist nicht dabei/ Im Buch des Lebens steht er nicht drin (...) / Das Tor wird geschlossen, ich bin allein / Die Wölfe sind nah, ich fang an zu schrein / Keinen Ausweg mehr sehend, nur die Mauer vorm Schloss / Mit blutigen Händen klettre ich drüber weg / (...)Ich höre Schritte, der Engel kommt zu mir / (...) From all these black landscapes it calls desperated scream to God for help:“Strahlt denn das Düstre schon aus mir heraus / Ist es so mächtig, dass jedem graust / Auch ich habe Angst / Oh Gott, hilf mir /Oh Gott, ich schreie zu Dir“.
As we can see Exaudi has changed a little horizons of their style. Thoralf just resigned from clean vocal, gives more importance for the growl, which presents properly better than only normal singing from the DemoMCD. Artists has done experiment with female voice and it made sound not boring. Very good is also development of keyboard’s potence. The path of music they have chosen is going in more richer. “Ein Stein” is for all who likes My Silent Wake, Paramaecium and moldavian’s group GOD.
