Gli Exaudi sono una band tedesca di Dresden in Germania. All’inizio era nata come un progetto di tre persone. Tra di loro c’era un chitarrista, cantante e anche cantautore Thoralf Bach, il bassista “Rums” e Thomas, Il tastierista.
Dopo un anno dalla loro nascita nel gruppo è entrato il batterista Andy. Col tempo la band Exaudi è cambiata un poco. Thomas se n’è andato e al suo posto è venuto Tobias. Per quanto riguarda la voce femminile è venuta Silvia al posto di Virginie. La formazione è giunta al completo con l’arrivo di Katharina al violino. L’ultimo titolo, ‘Alte Kirche’, scopre esattamente la vera bellezza e vitalità della tastiera. I suoi toni sono melodici ed equamente mistici. Possiamo notare come anche i riff di chitarra sono minori rispetto alla canzone precedente. La linea vocale è migliore rispetto a ‘Das Bild’ ma non appaiono né growl né scream, che qualcuno di voi si aspetterebbe.
I testi degli Exaudi sono stati scritti dal chitarrista Thoralf. Sono tutti in tedesco , la madre lingua dei musicisti. Tra l’altro mostrano oscure e astratte visioni riguardo il tragitto della vita: ”Ein Mann kommt auf mich zu /Er fragt mich, wohin ich gehen will / Ohne Antwort abzuwarten / Sagt er zu mir / Der Weg, den du gehn wirst / Ist hart und schwer / Doch du musst ihn gehen / Es ist der Weg durch diese Welt“.
All’interno dei testi c’è anche una forte speranza e fede che se noi sceglieremo Gesù come nostro Signore, tutta l’oscurità scomparirà: "(...) Weisst Du, das noch Hoffnung hier besteht / Du musst nur den Mann am Kreuz als Herrn annehmen / Er ist der einzige Weg das Reich der Finsternis zu zerstören / (...) Langsam wird es hell / ein neuer Tag bricht an.“
Il DemoMCD degli Exaudi ci mostra che in questa band c’è una potenza che non si è risvegliata, e sicuramente accadrà nel prossimo futuro. La loro arte dovrebbe essere apprezzata da tutti i fans dei gruppi come i Mortality, i Visionaire o la band GOD e da tutti i fan che apprezzano il gothic e i Paramecium.

Exaudi is a german band from Dresden in Saxony. On beginning it was born as a project of three persons. Between them were guitarist, singer and also songwriter–Thoralf Bach, bassist - “Rums” and Thomas as a keyboards-player. After one year of existence to the group joined drummer Andy. With time team of Exaudi changed a little. Thomas has gone and his place occupied Tobias. Instead of Virginie as female voice came Silvia. The formation has completed also Katharina with violin.
The style of the music they play we can characterize as a doom/death with gothic and black influences. Exaudi released two short records. Every includes only three tracks. Their first DemoMCD with very simple title: “Exaudi” appeared in the spring of that year. The record opens great song ‘Die Brücke über Den Fluß’ with exceptional composition of voice’s part. It starts with heavy guitar and high tunes of keyboards. Then enter the dark chords of bass and drums. After one minute guitar’s sound changes to remarkable low and monotone. Also keyboards tunes fall and tempo of the drums goes very slow. The vocalist uses in all strophes only recitation, which reverberates by echo and through it just “paints” dark, hunting landscape.
This recitation makes strong impression especially when we can hear after just right fantastic death growl, full of force, which beautiful complements itself with melody. Instead second and the longest track ‘Das Bild’ seems to be a little without expression. Here vocally we’ll listen nothing so special. By the way music is richer in this title. Good, atmospheric keyboard and more guitar’s riffs, which nice changes from soft to heavier. Last title ‘Alte Kirche’ uncovers exactly true beauty and vitality of keyboard. His chords are melodic and equally mystic. We meet also guitar riff of this kind which we can hear not so often into the music of this genre, so it pays more attention. The vocal line is better than in ‘Das Bild’ but doesn’t appear growl or scream, which some of you would to expect, after his elements in the first position.
Exaudi’s lyrics wrote guitarist Thoralf. All are in mother tongue of the musicians. Among others show dark, abstract visions about path of life: Inside of the texts is also strong hope and faith that if we’ll choose Jesus as our Lord, all darkness will disappear: "(...) Weisst Du, das noch Hoffnung hier besteht / Du musst nur den Mann am Kreuz als Herrn annehmen / Er ist der einzige Weg das Reich der Finsternis zu zerstören / (...) Langsam wird es hell / ein neuer Tag bricht an.“
The DemoMCD of Exaudi signalized that in this band sleeps undiscovered potence, which for sure will shine in near future. Their art should appreciate all sympathizers of the groups as Ashen Mortality, Visionaire or GOD and also fans of gothic style. Nice chords should find here fans of Paramaecium as well.
