E’ con estrema felicità e con forte interesse e curiosità che ci apprestiamo ad ospitare sulle nostre pagine il proggetto di Rogè Abergel & Kingdom Culture.
Primo album reggae della storia di HolySteel e primo lavoro in campo musicale per il Pastore Rogè, nativo di Casablanca, emigrante in America.
Fortemente influenzato dalle sonorità di un tale Bob Marley, nel 2007 decide per l’appunto di pubblicare questo “War”, MCD nato da numerose collaborazioni, tra le quali conta la partecipazione di Mark Mohr dei Christafari (famosa reggae band cristiana…).
“War” è un mini, che contiene tre pezzi seguiti dalle versioni “Dub” delle stesse tracce; questo lavoro è l’apripista del full-lenght su cui sta lavorando il nostro Rogè Abergel con i suoi Kingdom Culture.
Tutti i pezzi rientrano nei classici canoni sonori del genere, un reggae spensierato, dolce che fa sognare, e parla di Dio, di Gesù e della potenza del nostro Salvatore.
Molto bella è 'War' che apre le danze, le cui parole cantano di una guerra, dove vincerà chi avrà il potere di Gesù Cristo, usando anche parole molto forti…”Jesus said, the enemy belongs under your feet / By no means he shall not hurt you / Behold I give unto you power / To tread upon snakes and scorpions…”.
Più tranquilla è la seguente 'Carried Away' (dove Mark Mohr è il special guest), brano dalle movenze dolci, classiche del reggae, dove si canta la bontà del nostro Signore, che ci salva sempre. “Holy is the hand that saved me / Full of mercy and love divine / Reaching to the lowest valleys / Bringing peace to this heart of mine...” .
'Can You Hear It' è il terzo pezzo di questo lavoro, brano spigliato (sulle note dell’originale 'I Hear The Sound'), dove il testo dice: “ Can you hear the sound of the army of the Lord / Can you hear it in the spirit? / It’s a sound of war it’s a sound of praise/ Can you hear it in the spirit?...” .
I tre pezzi successivi come già detto sono le versioni “Dub” dei tre pezzi, che cambiano un po’ nelle sonorità, ma di fatto non aggiungono niente che non sia già stato detto.
Molto bella anche la veste grafica del CD, dove sulla copertina appare Rogè Abergel con uno sfondo colorato coi classici colori reggae, molto semplice ma molto bello!
Allora… che possiamo dire per questo lavoro? Sicuramente è una scoperta, una bella scoperta perché sono sonorità nuove per noi. Aspettando il full lenght questo “War” è un’ottima anticipazione, reggae spensierato, scanzonato, ma che fa breccia nel cuore…
Consigliato agli amanti del genere e perché no? Anche ai metallari più incalliti, ogni tanto fa bene cambiare aria…

It's with extreme happiness and with strong interest and curiosity, that we're about to invite on our pages the project of Rogè Abergel & Kingdom Culture.
First reggae album in Holysteel's history and first work in the musical sector for the Pastor Rogè, born in Casablanca, emigrant in America.
Strongly influenced by the sounds of Bob Marley, in 2007 decided to release this “War”, MCD born from several collaborations, among them there is the participation of Mark Mohr member of Christafari (famous christian reggae band...).
“War” is a mini album , that contains three tracks followed by the versions “Dub” by the same tracks; this work opens the way to the full-lenght album on which Roge Abergel and Kingdom Culture are working about.
Every pieces are in reggae classical style, a thoughtless reggae, so sweet that makes dreaming, and it talks about God, about Jesus and the powerful of our Saviour.
'War' is very beautiful , it opens the dances, and the words speak about a war, where it will win who'll have the power of Jesus Christ, using also very strong words... ”Jesus said, the enemy belongs under your feet / By no means he shall not hurt you / Behold I give unto you power / To tread upon snakes and scorpions…”.
More quiet is the song 'Carried Away' (where Mark Mohr is the special guest), song with the sweet classical reggae movings, where the band sing the goodness of our Lord, that always saves us. “Holy is the hand that saved me / Full of mercy and love divine / Reaching to the lowest valleys / Bringing peace to this heart of mine...” .
'Can You Hear It' is the third song of this work, smart song (with the notes of the original song “I Hear The Sound”), where there's written in the lyrics: “Can you hear the sound of the army of the Lord / Can you hear it in the spirit? / It’s a sound of war it’s a sound of praise/ Can you hear it in the spirit?...”
The three following songs, as I said before, are the versions “Dub” , which change for a few along the sonorities, but by the way they don't add nothing more than what it said.
The MCD cover is graphically very beautiful, where Rogè Abergel appears on the cover with a colored background with the classical reggae colors, very simple but very beautiful!
So ... what can we say about this release ?
Surely it's a discovery , a nice discovery because they are new sonorities for us. Waiting for the full length album, this “War” is an excellent anticipation, a thoughtless reggae, an easy-going reggae, but that strikes to our heart...
It's suggested to the lovers of this genre and why not ? Also to the most hardened heavy metal freacks, sometimes it's healthy changing air...
