BORGAZUR 
"2P3: Alchemists Earth of Aeon A.C."

Usciti per la Nokternal Hemizphear gli olandesi Borgazur con "2P3: Alchemists Earth of Aeon A.C.” firmano il loro primo full-length e realizzano il secondo lavoro dopo l'EP autoprodotto "Dit Tranendal verlaten" del 2004. Se il primo lavoro dei nostri includeva nelle liriche elementi fantasy miscelati a citazioni cristiane possiamo affermare con certezza che il nuovo album è un'opera di christian metal approfondita e veramente ben realizzata, da ogni punto di vista.
Il black metal dei nostri ha un solo difetto: essendo colmo di suggestioni e idee che si accavallano può risultare complesso ascoltare e assimilare l'intero lavoro in fretta; il CD va ascoltato diverse volte per scoprire tutta la fantasia e le idee espresse in musica dai due musicisti coinvolti, ossia Kildrith (voce) e Illithrir (chitarre, basso, batteria e cori).
Un fattore da sottolineare in positivo, oltre alla perizia tecnica espressa dai musicisti è l'estrema cura nella realizzazione del booklet e la profondità dei testi presentati che nel libretto del CD sono inseriti con tanto di richiami biblici. L'artwork di copertina incornicia la perfezione del Creato ad un grigio sovrapporsi di accadimenti umani, di personaggi più o meno negativi che hanno intaccato il mondo ma non hanno modificato l'operato di Dio.
Analizzando in modo più preciso i brani dell'album possiamo notare come ogni track sia un microcosmo in cui un ascoltatore può perdersi con estremo piacere.
Abbiamo per esempio 'Alchemy Of Alleviation When A Fib Is Prevaricated' (da notare anche la complessità dei titoli delle canzoni, tutti elaborati e pregni di significato...) che antepone al black ferale e velocissimo imposto da Illithrir un intro di pianoforte delicato e cori melodici veramente efficaci. Il testo del brano racconta la rivoluzione interna ad un essere umano che dopo un passato di anarchia interiore trova la salvezza in Cristo: "My Blood is coagulating / My purple vanes utter my fear (...) / God, is it right to aid me? / Please alleviate this burden / I make my life clean for kingdom sake / Unto the glory of the Lord / The brightly shining and hastily takes my soul."
Altro brano davvero interessante è 'Christ On A Pyramid' che musicalmente alterna sfuriate speed-black a ritmiche e sopratuttto a percussioni di sapore orientale che ci fanno intendere la genialità di Illithrir, praticamente unico musicista del CD. Il testo della song, annotato in modo preciso nel booklet, parla delle profezie e dei messaggi inviati da Dio a Geremia: "God sets signs and wonders / In egypt to this day / So we know the truth / That Science took astray / At the Triumphant capital / the suburb called Giza / Lays a beautiful pyramid (...) / the Lord said: Jeremiah / Behold the days will come / That I will raise unto David / A righteous Branch who won / A King shall reign and prosper (...)"
Possiamo continuare citando l'ottima opener 'Christian Anarchism', che viene introdotta dalla lunga e caotica 'Preface To Our Cogent'; il brano, sin dai primi secondi, ci assale con accelerazioni perfette dettate dalla maestria del batterista; ma la sorpresa giunge quando nel bel mezzo del marasma sonoro, oltre allo screming di Kildrith viene cantato in clean vocal un bridge evidente e significativo che sottolinea la totale fedeltà a Cristo: " Never Give in! / Never give up! / Never retreat! / Never stop!" Il pezzo continua quindi con l'ottimo growl del singer che maestoso dichiara: "Christ is our Messiah / Not meant for hell / We dominate Delilah / We ridicule Isabel."
In conclusione “2P3: Alchemists Earth of Aeon A.C.” è un ottimo avvio per una band che sicuramente potrà solo migliorare in futuro, approfondendo il discorso prog apertosi con questo full-length. Chi ama il black più elaborato di Lengsel e dei primi Crimson Moonlight deve recuperare questo CD.

The dutch band Borgazur with "2P3: Alchemists Earth of Aeon A.C.” signed their full-length album with the label Nokternal Hemizphear and this is the second production after the self-produced EP "Dit Tranendal verlaten" realized in 2004. If their first production included in the lyrics some fantasy elements mixed to Christian citations, we can surely affirm that the new album is an in-depth work of Christian metal and really well realized by every point of view.
The black metal style of this band has just only one defect : being full of suggestions and crossed ideas it could result complex to listen quickly the whole production; the CD must be listened several times to discover all the fantasies and ideas expressed in the music by the musicians involved, Kildrith (vocal) and Illithrir (guitar, bass guitar, drum and chorus).
An important thing to notice in positive connotation , other than the technique expressed by the musicians, is the extreme carefulness in realizing the booklet and the deep of the lyrics presented in the pamphlet of CD with biblical recalling.
The artwork of the cover frames the perfection of the Creation with a gray crossing of human stories, of human people more or less negative that modified the world but not the work of God.
Analyzing deeply the songs of the album we can notice how every track is a micro cosmos in which a listener can get lost with extreme pleasure.
We can see for example 'Alchemy Of Alleviation When A Fib Is Prevaricated' (notice the complexity of the songs' title, all elaborated and full of meaning... ) that sets above fast black metal imposed by Illithrir an intro of piano delicate and melodic chorus really effective. The lyrics of the song talks about the internal revolution of a human being that after a past of interior anarchy finds the Jesus safety: "My Blood is coagulating / My purple vanes utter my fear (...) / God, is it right to aid me? / Please alleviate this burden / I make my life clean for kingdom sake / Unto the glory of the Lord / The brightly shining and hastily takes my soul."
Another interesting song is 'Christ On A Pyramid' that musically alternates speed-black style to rhythmics and above all to percussion of oriental taste that let us know the genius of Illithrir the only musician of CD. The lyric of the song, written on the booklet in a precise manner, talks about the prophecies and about the messages sent by God to Geremy: "God sets signs and wonders / In egypt to this day / So we know the truth / That Science took astray / At the Triumphant capital / the suburb called Giza / Lays a beautiful pyramid (...) / the Lord said: Jeremiah / Behold the days will come / That I will raise unto David / A righteous Branch who won / A King shall reign and prosper (...)"
We can continue citing the excellent opener 'Christian Anarchism', that is introduced by the long and chaotic 'Preface To Our Cogent'; the song from the first seconds, is full of perfect accelerations dictated by the mastery of the drummer; but the surprise comes when in the middle of the song brothel, other than the screaming of Kildrith is sung in clean vocal an evident bridge and meaningful that underlines the total fidelity of Jesus : " Never Give in! / Never give up! / Never retreat! / Never stop!" The piece continues with the excellent growl of the singer that declares majestically: "Christ is our Messiah / Not meant for hell / We dominate Delilah / We ridicule Isabel."
In conclusion “2P3: Alchemists Earth of Aeon A.C.” is an excellent departure of a band that surely can improve in the future, delving the discourse of the prog music opened with this full-length. The lovers of the most elaborated black metal of Lengsel and the first Crimson Moonlight must get this CD.
